I am writing to you regarding a refund of $4,787.49 from Amazon for my order #113-1910394-8552227, which Amazon has repeatedly confirmed was refunded but which I have never received. I placed this order using my address in Delaware, and the order consisted of four Apple devices: three MacBook computers and one iPad. Unfortunately, there were serious technical problems with the items I received. The MacBooks would not turn on or operate properly, and the devices appeared to have significant technical or hardware issues from the moment I received them. Having multiple new electronic devices from the same order arrive with serious technical problems was extremely unusual and raised concerns that the items may have come from a defective or damaged batch. Because the products were not functioning as expected and I was unable to use them, I contacted Amazon and initiated a return through Amazon's official return process. I carefully followed all instructions provided by Amazon and returned all four items through the designated Amazon return drop-off location. I did not keep any of the devices and returned the entire order as requested. After the return was completed, Amazon provided confirmation that the returned items had been received. I was also informed by Amazon that the refund would be processed and that, under normal circumstances, the money should be credited back to my original payment method within a relatively short period of time. I relied on this information and waited for the refund to appear in my account. However, the refund did not arrive. When I contacted Amazon customer service to investigate the situation, the representative reviewed my order and confirmed that the returned items had been successfully received by Amazon and that the refund for $4,787.49 had been processed. I was specifically advised that although refunds are normally reflected within a few hours, depending on the financial institution and payment-processing system, it could take up to seven business days for the funds to appear in my account. I accepted that explanation and waited the entire stated timeframe before contacting Amazon again. Unfortunately, more than seven business days passed, and the $4,787.49 refund still had not been credited to my account. At that point, I contacted Amazon customer service by phone several additional times in an attempt to resolve the issue. Despite explaining the situation in detail and providing the order number, the representatives were unable to provide a meaningful explanation as to where the refund was or why the money had not reached my account. I was ultimately instructed by Amazon representatives to contact Amazon in writing at cs-reply@amazon.com so that the matter could be investigated further. I followed those instructions exactly and sent a written inquiry explaining that the returned products had been received by Amazon, that Amazon had previously confirmed that the refund had been processed, that the seven-business-day timeframe had already expired, and that I still had not received any funds. Amazon subsequently responded to me in writing and once again confirmed that the returned items had been successfully received and processed and that a refund in the amount of $4,787.49 had been issued to my original payment method, a Mastercard ending in 7123. This written confirmation is particularly important because it demonstrates that Amazon itself recognizes that the return was completed and that the refund was supposedly issued. Despite these repeated confirmations from Amazon, the money has never appeared in my account. I have checked my account and payment activity and have not received the $4,787.49 refund. I have also given Amazon substantially more time than the seven business days that its customer service representatives told me to allow. I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly with Amazon before requesting further assistance. I placed the order using my Delaware address, received the products, discovered that the MacBooks and other devices had serious technical problems, returned all four items through Amazon's official return process, obtained confirmation that Amazon received the returned merchandise, waited for the promised refund period, contacted Amazon customer service multiple times by telephone, followed the instructions provided by Amazon representatives, and contacted Amazon in writing as specifically requested. Amazon has repeatedly confirmed that the merchandise was returned and has confirmed that the $4,787.49 refund was issued to my original Mastercard ending in 7123, yet the funds have still not been received. At this point, I am requesting assistance in recovering the full $4,787.49 that Amazon confirms it refunded but which has not actually been credited to my account. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation, including the Amazon return confirmation, correspondence with Amazon customer service, the written confirmation stating that the $4,787.49 refund was issued, information identifying the original payment method, and any other documentation necessary to demonstrate that the merchandise was returned and that the refund remains missing. I respectfully ask that this matter be investigated and that the $4,787.49 owed to me be recovered as soon as possible. Amazon has acknowledged the return and has repeatedly confirmed that the refund was issued, so I am seeking assistance in ensuring that the funds Amazon says it refunded are actually returned to me.
