Performance Evaluation
15:30 Crew gathered in the Cargo Control Room (CCR) for a theoretical briefing on Cross-Flooding procedures. Drill announced for training purposes. Chief Officer explained the danger of asymmetrical flooding on a container vessel and the importance of rapid list correction. C/O highlighted that in a real emergency, the stability and counter-flooding layout would be calculated in the MACS3 loading computer based on the sounding data received from the deck teams. The crew reviewed the vessel's piping diagrams, locations of cross-flooding valves, and the sequence of their operation. Procedures for requesting emergency Shore-Based Stability Support were refreshed. The Electrician also explained the manual override methods for valves in case of a total remote control failure.
15:50 End of the drill.
