CHAPTER TWENTY
ROWAN
“I just want to get my gun.”
“That’s what your claws are for,” Quinn says as he leans against the door of my horse trailer. I’m surprised he went with me back into town, but I think he just needed to get away for a moment. We spent all morning going over stuff, but at some point, it just seemed like we’d be better off beating our heads against a wall because it was extremely apparent we weren’t getting anywhere. The few hours of sleep we got did little to energize us.
The pack knows that if they moved forward with getting back into the facility, even as a bigger group than the five of us, they could be putting the entire pack in danger.
Trenton wasn’t pleased, but I think after the last fuck up, he knew that if they were going to get her back, we all needed to think of something amazingly conniving to get in there and extract Addie without anyone dying or even noticing us.
“My claws are nice, but a gun is something I know how to actually use. I trained for many years with a gun.”
“I can train you how to use your claws. Just hiss a little and swipe. Oh, that’s right, you only know how to purr,” he says with a wicked grin.
“Excuse me. What happened to nice Quinn and how can I get him back?” I ask as I open up my horse trailer that we moved to the motel parking lot after I’d gotten a set of keys made for it. Maze, my horse, is healed to the point where I could use her again, but there is an odd sense of freedom over running on my own four legs instead of on her back, and she seems to be enjoying her time at Helen’s with the other horses.
“Ohhh. Yeah. Never met this ‘nice Quinn,’ honestly,” he says with a grin. I step into my trailer and turn around to face where he’s leaning against the open door. I hook the front of his shirt and guide him in with me. I’m careful of his back as I pull him into my arms and press into him. He leans forward, a grin playing at his lips before he kisses me softly.
“You don’t know how much I need this distraction right now. I feel useless not getting Addie back.”
“I feel like you’re going to run off the moment I leave you alone and take on the demon army yourself,” I admit.
Quinn gives me a sly grin that tells me I’m not that far off. “Shh,” he says before he kisses me again, like his lips will distract me. While they do distract me, I still want him to be safe and I believe that means staying at home and enlisting his pack on more dangerous things.
“While I would love to try out the bed you have in here, I don’t want to be gone too long,” he says as his fingers trace over my cheek to my lips. I catch his hand and kiss his palm. He smiles at me before stepping back.
“Get your weapon of destruction and let’s head back.”
“Do you want me to bring my truck with me?” Since it’s been back from the body shop where they fixed the window, I haven’t done much with it. Instead, everyone else seems to want to drive me.
“That’s up to you. You don’t need to. I don’t mind driving you around, but I’m sure you’d like having it,” Quinn says.
“I kind of like you driving me but when you can’t and your brother does… that’s terrifying.”
“How’s your horse doing? I saw you had her out exercising her earlier. She’s all healed?”
“Yeah, she’s good. I could ride her again, but it’s not like I should take her out anywhere. She’s enjoying being lazy.”
“I bet.”
I reach for my locked gun box. When I turn back, I find him outside, a strange look on his face. He hurries off without a word, and I’m left scrambling after him before he goes off to face a mini army while I’m looking the other way.
“What’s wrong?” I ask as he takes off running across the parking lot to a motel room about ten down from the one I’d been staying in. He slams against the door, stilling for a moment before he begins beating on it.
A woman who I’ve seen working here before rushes over. “What do you think you’re doing?” she asks.
“You need to open this door. I need inside,” Quinn says.
Her face sours. “Your kind has been lurking around here and you need to leave before I call the police.”
“I need you to open the door,” he says desperately.
She hurries off before grabbing her phone. It doesn’t deter Quinn as he starts kicking the door. It’s an old door, but he still whales on it four times with a solid kick to the side of the doorknob before the door springs open and Quinn rushes inside while I question if he’s lost his mind. I race after him as he moves to the bathroom door that’s blocked by a dresser. He pulls it to the side and shoves the door open a moment before I see what he’s looking at.
Addie looks up in confusion before her face brightens up and she drops the Nintendo Switch she’d been holding.
“Oh my god, Addie!” he says as he drops before her and grabs for her bound hands.
“Quinn!” she says as she desperately grabs onto him. “Oh my god. Quinn!”
He tightly holds her against him, hugging her as he presses her face against his chest and rocks her. “Oh my god. I thought… I thought I lost you. I thought I was never going to be able to get you back. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.” I can just see the tension leaving Quinn’s body and I know how much he’s been beating himself up about this.
“It’s my fault,” she says. “I should never have gone out. I shouldn’t have snuck out. I’m sorry. I didn’t know what to do, and I’m really sorry.”
Quinn pulls her to her feet, but her legs are bound together, probably what kept her from shifting into her bear form. He just picks her up and starts rushing for the door but the moment he’s through it, he freezes. I see why when I step up behind him to find Scott getting out of his vehicle.
Calmly, Quinn sets Addie down as Scott’s eyes get huge. He turns around and just starts running away from us.
Quinn is across the parking lot faster than I knew he could move and he’s not even shifting. I don’t know what to do, so I turn to Addie. “Are you okay here?”
She nods, her dark brown hair flopping into her face that she struggles to push back with her handcuffed hands. “Yeah, I’m fine. He wasn’t mean. He told me about his wife, and I understood why he was doing it. Please don’t let Quinn kill him,” she says, and I’m shocked to find her worried about Scott’s outcome.
I leave her and chase after Quinn who literally leaps through the air, body slamming Scott onto the ground.
“Don’t kill me! Please don’t kill me!” Scott cries as he starts crawling away.
Quinn is out of control as he grabs him by his throat, no sign of slowing down. “You stole her from my pack, you kept her locked up, and you lied to me. Death will be too kind,” he snarls as his nails dig deep into Scott’s throat.
Scott looks terrified as I debate what to do. Deep down, my heart wants me to let my mate do as he pleases, but I also don’t want him to get in trouble. “Please! I can explain! Please! I had to get my wife back. I asked you to help, and you didn’t seem like you would. I knew the only way to get you to do anything was if you thought they took someone from your pack! I didn’t know you’d get into that fucking mess! I was really kind to her. I didn’t hurt her at all, I promise.”
Quinn leans into him as he snarls. “I don’t care what you did, I’m going to rip off your limbs one by one—”
The sound of a siren cuts through the parking lot as I quickly grab onto Quinn before he can maim the man in front of the police.
They jump out of the vehicle with their guns raised. “Get your hands up or I will shoot!” one officer yells.
I drag Quinn off Scott, but I know the moment I let go, he’s going to go back at him. The threat from the police is doing nothing to calm his anger.
“I’m with the West County Tactical Tracking team. I have my badge in my pocket,” Scott says. “These men have done nothing wrong. Please stand down.”
They look over at Addie who is still bound on the doorstep of the motel room looking a bit uncertain. One starts to rush to help her.
“She’s a shifter,” Scott says, and it nearly kills me when I see their concern dissipate in a moment as they forget her and come over to check Scott’s badge. I keep Quinn held down, slowly pulling him away from the police as I press my face close to his, hoping my presence will settle him some.
“Calm down. Please. Calm down. I can’t let you get shot over this,” I say, terrified of what they’ll do to him because they just don’t care. The injustice is out of control.
“He needs to pay,” Quinn growls.
“And he will, but wait until the police leave first,” I say, voice as quiet and calm as I can make it in the hopes he’ll listen. But as I stare at Scott who has the men turning around and leaving, I realize just how unfair it all is. They literally see a young woman—one that could still be considered a child—bound and tied up but they don’t care because she’s a shifter? How far do the injustices lie? And how have I never seen it before?
Or was I like them before I met Quinn?
I can’t imagine I was ever that bad, but I do know I turned my back on a lot of shifter stuff because I was too shut off from my own kind to even deal with it.
Gently, I squeeze Quinn tighter to me as I watch the police drive away. For a full minute, we’re all silent, but then Quinn yanks free and steps up to Scott.
He pushes into Scott’s personal space. “Let me get this straight… you concocted this whole thing, right? You couldn’t wait to see if we’d actually help you or see if we could work together, and instead, you took one of my pack members and locked her up in a motel room where you forced her to remain chained up while you spouted lies to me and my pack. You put us in danger. You’ve put my entire pack in danger!”
Scott’s eyes drop. “I know nothing I say will make this better, but I never imagined what you’d find. I didn’t… I didn’t think it would be more than you just finding the location, and then I thought I’d take over from there. I just… I love her so much and I know that she’s out there. I know that if I could just reach her, if I could just…”
Quinn is seething. I’m surprised he hasn’t leapt back on him and continued where he left off. “My pack is in danger. You have endangered my entire pack because of this.”
“I didn’t know,” Scott says, and the way his voice breaks makes me feel like he really does feel guilty over this. “How the hell would I have known what would be waiting for you on the other side? I just want my wife back! I want her to see her daughter walking. Last time she saw her, she wasn’t walking and now she’s missed every fucking milestone. You barely know Rowan; now imagine you’ve known each other for fifteen years and had a child together and then someone just took him away. How fucking far would you go?”
The idea of someone taking Quinn from me fills me with rage, but he’s right. I barely know Quinn. The only reason we’re so enamored with each other is this… strange shifter thing I can’t even comprehend.
Scott kneels down, like he’s weighed down with guilt and grief, right in the middle of the parking lot as Quinn stands over him. Quinn’s expression is unreadable, even for me. “I never hurt her. I took good care of her. I told her to get on the ground and she listened to me—”
This doesn’t seem to sate Quinn at all. “You abused your authority. It’s not the first time a shifter I’ve known has listened to the law only to find that there is no ‘law’ for shifters. The officers can abuse it any way they want.”
“I’m sorry. I will make up for it. I’ll do something.”
“Yes, you’re going to pack up your shit and you’re coming back to my village. And when those fucked-up assholes land on my doorstep, you’re going to face them, and if they listen to you, great. If they don’t, letting them tear you apart might buy us some time. And you’re going to do exactly what I ask, or I’m going to tell Trenton who had his baby sister and I’m going to step back and watch as he rips you limb from limb. I might even help a little.”
Scott nods. “Okay… that is more than I deserve. Spending time with Addie really opened my eyes to the injustices of this world. She really is a good kid.”
Quinn’s hand tightens on the air before Scott, like he’s just envisioning what he’d like to do. “It most definitely is more than you deserve because Addie is a sweetheart.”
Scott holds out some keys that Quinn takes before heading over to where Addie still sits. He undoes her hands and feet with the keys before helping her up.
“Quinn?” Addie asks quietly.
“It’s okay. It’s going to be okay,” he assures her.
“I know… but…” She bites her lip as she hesitantly looks at him.
“What is it?” he asks in concern.
“Can… Can I keep the Switch he bought me?”
Quinn’s expression narrows, but then he lets out a big sigh and gives her an amused look. “Sure, you keep whatever you want. You can have his car if you want it or even his life.”
She seems to want neither as she eagerly rushes back in to grab the Switch before following us over to the car. She even gives Scott a little wave before following us.
Once in the car, Quinn turns to Addie. “You swear he didn’t hurt you?”
“Not at all. He bought me a Switch and brought steak for supper and ice cream for dessert and donuts for breakfast.”
Quinn is staring at her to the point where she loses her smile. “I… probably should have tried harder to get free, shouldn’t I?”
“Did you even have a gag?” Quinn asks.
“Well… no. But he told me about his wife, and I grew up without a mom—Trenton and I both did—and our dad was horrible. I can’t imagine how much better our lives would have been with our mother still alive. So I thought if I could help keep his daughter from going through that as well… I don’t know! In retrospect, it sounds stupid but if someone could have saved my mom…” Addie stares at Quinn before worriedly glancing at me since he is saying nothing. “I’m sorry!”
“It’s not your fault,” Quinn says. “Just… let’s not do this next time just so you can get a Switch. I’ll actually buy you a Switch to not do it. Now, it’s up to you if you want to tell Trenton who took you. If you do tell him it was Scott, please let me know so I can watch him tear Scott’s head off his body.”
She nods. “I’ll tell him I don’t know who it was.”
“A little less bloody, but fine. I can handle it,” Quinn says.
And as he drives home, I realize I forgot my truck, but I can’t help but enjoy being with Quinn every chance I get.

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
QUINN
Things have been “normal” for the past few days. Addie is back, no one has gone missing, no one has been murdered, and no one is trying to kill anyone. While I still have to discuss consequences with Ethan, he and his father have been hiding from me and I’m even okay with that because I just don’t want to deal with him right now. Maybe by the time I’m ready, my head will be cooled enough I can deal with him.
Instead, I’m currently relaxing in the shower, letting the warm water wash away any of the stress of the past week or so. God, it feels like years. I reluctantly turn off the shower and grab my towel, drying off as I start to step out.
Thump!
As the snow leopard slams against my window, paws up as he peers in at me, I may or may not let out a mini screech—which is entirely not my fault. And because I’d been in the process of stepping out of the tub, I forget to pick up the foot that’s still in the tub as I jump and fall forward, crashing into the towel rack on the far wall and tearing it off in my descent. Thankfully, I catch myself before my head slams into the sink.
In retrospect, my bathroom blinds probably should’ve been closed, but why when they face the woods and no one would be in my yard. I slowly turn my head to look at the snow leopard as he leisurely slides down, paw pads squeeeeeing as he goes down, like he thinks if he moves slow enough I might forget his very presence, until just the tips of his ears are showing… and then he’s gone.
I rush over to the window and push it open. “Dammit, Rowan! Just knock on the door like a normal person!”
When I don’t see him, I look up and find him peering down at me over the edge of the roof.
He’s insane. My body is enamored with an insane man who prefers to climb roofs instead of coming through the front door. Quickly, I tug my sweats on before rushing over to the front door where Rowan stands with a welcome mat held over his groin and an absolutely demolished bouquet of flowers in his other hand. I’m positive that they’d have looked better if they’d have gone through hell and back versus what they look like right now.
He clears his throat. “Hello, kind sir. I was just… passing by and there was a flower peddler and the flowers reminded me of your eyes, so I thought I’d bring them to you.”
I reach out and take the neatly tied bundle of stems. There isn’t a single flower left besides one lone petal hanging from a limp stem. “Wow… I never knew my eyes looked so beautiful.”
Rowan’s trying his hardest not to grin. “You know… there were a few bumps in the road along the way, and then your… welcome mat was askew and I thought I’d help… straighten it for you,” he says as he nods at the mat he’s covering his groin with.
“There was an ant crawling on it the other day. You wouldn’t want them nipping your dangly bits.”
He quickly sets it down and seems uncertain whether he should cover himself or just wear his nakedness proudly. “Can I please come in before I’m humiliated further? If anyone saw me doing… whatever that was, I’m positive I’d just die.”
“You mean besides the man you’re trying to woo, right? If anyone else saw it?” I ask with a grin, not yet opening the door enough to let him in. “Looks like Helen is about to walk on by.”
Rowan’s eyes get wide and he pushes against the crack before I finally open it enough that he slips inside and shuts the door. “I really got you those pretty flowers and then I was walking over and I knocked on the door for real. When you didn’t answer, my snow leopard took it as a challenge to get these flowers to you at all costs. I hope you like them.”
I examine the snapped stems. The holey leaves. The lack of petals. “I love them. They’re very nice. I got you something too.” I give his cheek a kiss, loving the idea that he thought of getting this for me.
“Can I bother you for some more clothes first?”
“Sure,” I say as I head off to fetch him some while wondering where he leaves all his clothes. And at what point will he remember to take his clothes off somewhere they’re easily accessible? I swear I found one of his shirts up in a tree the other day. When I asked him how it got there, he told me a child must have flung it into the tree.
He is now blaming children.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t find everything he does ridiculously sexy. He can fling T-shirts into my trees any day of the week. I hand him a pair of shorts I’d grabbed at the store for this very occasion.
“Um…” Rowan looks concerned as he stares at what are clearly booty shorts. “These… are yours?”
“Yep. What’s wrong with them?” I ask as I notice the tag I forgot to tear off. Hoping he doesn’t notice it, I just smile and tug it off.
“N-Nothing,” he says, and like the gentleman he is who is worried about telling me he doesn’t want to wear “my clothes,” he pulls them on.
I try to play it off like it’s normal while also trying not to grin like an idiot at him stuffed in these shorts too short and tight to leave anything to the imagination.
“Alright. Now what was it you wanted to show me?” he asks.
“Let me put my stems—my flowers in water first.”
“Okay, you don’t have to humor me that much,” Rowan says as I grab a vase and fill it with water.
I smile at him as I pretend to be amazed by the bouquet. “Why, they’re my favorite gift ever. I’m just… not sure which way is the top, you know? When both ends are mutilated it’s hard to tell,” I say before plopping it into the water. “Aww. How beautiful. I’ve never had anything symbolize my love so much.”
“I’m not getting you anything ever again,” Rowan says with a grin.
“I’m just glad it wasn’t a puppy or something that would’ve gone through this.”
Rowan looks horrified. “Oh my god. That’s morbid. Don’t say that!”
I make my eyes wide as I stare at him. “You’re the one that did this, not me!”
“It’s like I’m possessed when I see you! I lose my mind just because you look my way.”
“That’s so romantic,” I say as I pull out what I got him and tear the bag open. Then I take out a single blue stuffed mouse and toss it on the table next to him.
His eyes are on it instantly and I can see him breathing in the scent. “What’s that?” He hesitates and looks at me as realization dawns on him. “Ha ha. You’re so funny,” he says as his eyes slowly slide over to it. “I’m not a cat.”
“Of course not. I just thought it was cute,” I say. “But I’ll throw it away.”
My finger hooks the tail a moment before his hand slaps down on it.
“I wouldn’t want you to throw something away you just spent money on. I’m sure we can find someone who’d want it. Talon might even play with it,” he says.
“Of course,” I say as I give the tail a tug. “Then I’ll tuck it away for safekeeping.”
He slides it back closer to him. When it’s clear he’s not going to let go, I turn around to throw the packaging away. But nothing prepares me for when I look back only to find that he has it up to his face, snorting it. When his eyes lock on to mine, he throws it.
“Well… wow. What a wonderful day. Yep. Just stretching. I really should leave.”
“I like to stretch too,” I say as I pick up a bag filled with dried catnip. He watches me as I tear the top off. Then as I keep my eyes locked on his, I tip the bag over my head and sprinkle some on me while flipping my head back and forth like they do in the movies.
Rowan rushes up to me and grabs me, yanking me close before pressing his nose against my hair. “Oh my god. You’re insane.”
I start laughing. “What if I sprinkled it down my pants?”
“You do realize that you don’t need anything extra to get me in your pants, right?” he says. “You smell better than catnip on your own but my god, you smell amazing. Wait!” He pushes me back as he stares at me with wide eyes. “You’re hurt. We can’t do this. You’re hurt and we’re like figuring things out, and my god you’re tempting me and putting me in booty shorts and—”
I pull out the waistband of my pants and sprinkle a little catnip inside which makes Rowan start laughing. “It’s been plenty of time for me to heal,” I assure him.
“Stop! You’re a demon! We were… going to talk, and you’re hurt and my god, I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anything. Did you see my mating dance outside? Did you see the flowers? I’ve never in my life even thought to buy someone something just for the hell of it. And did you see me climb onto your roof?”
I shake a little more catnip on myself. “Ohh yeah… I smell so… catnippy.”
“Are you listening?” he asks.
I grin at him as he yanks the bag out of my hand while trying his best to not breathe it in. He seals it and flings it as far from us as he can. “I have all this… catnip on my shirt. I better take it off,” I say as I pull it up and toss it on his face.
Rowan yanks it off as he stares at me. “You’re good? No, you’re hurt! We can’t! We can… we can’t! You’re killing me. Are you enjoying this?”
“I’m fine. I just won’t lie on my back. Trust me, there are plenty of other positions.”
That seems to be all the resisting he can take before he rushes in and pulls me into him. “What if I can’t give you what you want?” he asks as he cups my face. “What if I end up leaving?”
The pang of those words are almost enough to make me step back, but I push them to the side because right now I’m not sure it matters. I’m not sure I care anymore as long as he holds me one more time before he goes. I can worry about that pain when he walks out the door, but until then, I want him with me. I slide my fingers in his hair and yank his head down before nipping his lip. “Then I guess you better make this the best sex I’ve ever had so I don’t forget it as soon as you leave.”
He grabs onto me, pulling me up into his arms as I wrap my legs around his waist. “Nothing like making it hard on a man,” he teases.
“Something’s definitely hard,” I say with a grin a moment before his lips crash into mine.
The kiss is hurried and wild. It’s like our animalistic natures are melting into it as I move my mouth against his, never getting enough, just knowing I need and want him more than anything at this moment. He carries me into the bedroom and sets me on the bed, so I grab his ass in my hands and yank him forward. I kiss his chest as I look up at him, my hands drawing circles and lines down his back until I reach his shorts that I slowly drag down, revealing his clearly interested thick cock.
I tug him toward me before pushing him onto the bed. I guide him back until he’s sitting up but leaning against the headboard. Then I make sure his eyes are on me as I push my sweats down—little specks of catnip falling onto my bed—and toss them. I had nothing on underneath, knowing that I didn’t plan on wearing them long the moment I’d seen Rowan peeking through my bathroom window like a perv.
“You’re a bit of a perv as a leopard, peeping through bathroom windows,” I say. “What if I’d been taking a piss instead?”
“I don’t know. My brain doesn’t work when I’m a leopard, and you assured me it’ll get better, but it hasn’t yet.”
“That’s because you keep denying yourself what you want,” I whisper against his ear.
He shivers as he leans into me. “Not today.”
“Good,” I say as I climb onto his lap and push myself forward until his cock is pressed up against mine.
He leans into me and kisses my cheek. “Please tell me if I hurt you. I don’t want to hurt your back.”
“Don’t worry, I promise you it’s fine. We heal faster than humans,” I say, knowing damn well nothing’s going to stop me. I’ve wanted this for far too long. I’ve needed this since I realized exactly who he was to me. I’ve needed him more than anything.
“Okay,” he says as he kisses my neck before softly sucking the skin. He pushes into me, rocking his hips forward until I feel his cock brush against mine. When I reach down, I rub a teasing finger over his cock before sliding it around the base.
I lean into him and reach past, pulling open the drawer of my bedside table where I take out a condom and lubricant. He takes the lube from me and I toss the condom onto the bed for later. Right now, I just need to touch him and kiss him and never get enough of him or too much of him or something. I’m overwhelmed by my desire for him.
His hand slides down my ass where his finger brushes over me, rubbing gently as the cold lubricant warms against my skin.
His finger pushes against me gently and slowly. He’s always so caring; even when he was being a sassy leopard, there was never any real malevolence in it. And while I worry that he’ll let his upbringing sway him, I feel like as long as I’m able to be with him here and now, it’ll have to be enough. It might not be enough forever, but for now, just feeling him and touching him sates me.
“Thank you… for being patient with me,” Rowan says as his free hand circles my cock.
“When you’re doing what you’re doing, I’m eager to agree with anything,” I tease.
He grins at me as he moves his finger inside me before adding another. “You know what I mean.”
“Hmm? Gosh, I’m not sure if I know anything anymore besides the fact that you’re so fucking sexy I’m ready to give you anything you want. Laser toy? I’ll get it for you. Scratching post? It’ll be here tomorrow.”
Rowan gives me a mock look of shock. “You’re a demon on the inside. But I know how to control demons,” he says as he gives my cock a stroke.
I moan as the desire in my body spikes. I could give it all to him. Any piece of me that he wants, I’d give to him. “Are those not good enough gifts for you?” I tease before kissing him.
The moment he breaks free, he says, “The only thing I need is you, and next time, you really don’t need to smell like catnip. You smell good enough without it.”
“Yes, but was it sexy, me doing the whole dancing in the catnip thing? Just rolling around in it?”
“I missed that part, but yes. Everything you do is sexy.”
“Even when I take out the trash?”
“Especially when you take out the trash.”
I kiss his cheek before pressing my lips against his ear as he stretches me. “You find it sexy even when I call you Floofboy?”
“I prefer Floofman, but as long as you’re saying it, it’s sexy.”
I start laughing as I tuck my head against his neck. “I’m sorry. This has derailed so much. I’m trying to be serious and sexy, and instead, I’m just rambling. I think I’m a bit nervous. I’ve never felt this way with anyone before and I’m not sure I completely understand it, but I know that I want you.”
“I feel the same way, and honestly, that’s what makes it fun,” he says, smile gentle.
“I know what else would make it fun,” I say as I grab the condom and hold it before him.
I slowly tear it open in front of him while waggling my eyebrows which makes him grin. “I love that you just humor me,” I say as I press the condom against the tip of his cock and roll it down.
“I love that you find humor in the smallest and strangest of places.”
I press my lips against him, drawing him toward me as his fingers pull out. His tongue brushes against mine and I love the soft groan as I rub lubricant over his cock.
When I lift myself off his lap, I take his cock in my hand and press on him. With his tip against me, desire ripples through me. Slowly, I sink down, his cock opening me up as I sink onto him. And as I settle on him, his hands slide over my thighs as he kisses me.
Slowly, I lift up, rocking my hips as he fills me. And as I move over him, his hand on my cock, his lips on my own, I can’t help but think about how he is mine. My mate. No one else’s. He is mine and always mine. As our bodies move together, I know that I’ve never felt this way about anyone and I never will again because he’s my mate, and we were meant to be together.
I break from the kiss and pull off him before sliding onto the bed on my hands and knees so I don’t press my back against anything. He gets behind me and pushes back inside me. His hand reaches around and grabs my cock as my fingers ball up the sheets. He shifts his position and when he pushes inside me, he hits a spot just right that has me lowering my chest down to bury my face into my bed as I moan.
He’s careful not to press against my back as he kisses my shoulder and neck and, when I eventually turn my head to him, my lips. The heat swelling inside me tells me I can’t hold out much longer. Not with the way he’s stroking my cock and moving inside me. I tuck my head against the sheets as pleasure swells inside me and I moan as I come. Rowan strokes my cock as I orgasm and I press into him as he groans. He thrusts deeper as he comes inside me. His thrusts turn to small rocks before he slowly pulls out of me and takes off the condom before guiding me down on top of him.
“I didn’t hurt your back?” he asks.
“Not at all,” I say as I press up against his naked body.
He reaches up and tugs a clump of my hair. “You still have catnip in your hair.”
I grin. “Do you like it?”
“It’s very nice.”
“Good. Then I’ll leave it.”
He chuckles before kissing the top of my head and drawing me in closer. He nuzzles against me as his hand runs down my side. “My mate,” he whispers.
I can’t help but grin at his words. “You’re starting to sound a bit possessive.”
He grins at me. “You like it, and you know it.”
“I do,” I say as I slide my hand around to his back to pull myself even closer to him. It’s so comfortable holding on to him. I want to ask him how long he’ll stay, but I’m afraid of the answer, so instead, I just press into him and love the moment.
