Hello [DE]Shelle,

Thank you for your response. However, I still do not understand on what basis my actions were considered participation in RMT, so I would like to explain the situation once again and ask you to reconsider the decision.

I want to make this absolutely clear: I did not purchase Platinum or any in-game items for real money, I did not sell anything for real money, and I did not participate in any black-market transactions.

What actually happened was very simple. A completely unknown player sent me a friend request with the relevant tag. I accepted the request, and afterwards this player sent me a gift. I tried to understand why they had sent it and whether they had simply selected the wrong account, but I never received a meaningful explanation. After that, I simply accepted the gift.

I never made any agreement with this person to purchase anything, I never sent them money, I never offered them real money, and I had absolutely no knowledge of where the item or Platinum they sent me had originally come from.

Therefore, I do not understand how receiving a gift from another player can automatically be considered participation in RMT.

There is also another important point that I believe needs to be taken into consideration. I have not found any clear explanation in the Rules, Terms of Use, or Support documentation explaining what exactly a player is supposed to do if a complete stranger sends them a gift without any prior agreement or transaction, and it later turns out that the source of that gift was connected to a suspicious transaction.

I can see the general warnings regarding RMT and suspicious trades, as well as the information about contacting Support when dealing with a negative Platinum balance. However, this does not explain what an ordinary player is supposed to do in the specific situation I encountered.

If there is a specific rule, instruction, or official Support article that directly addresses this situation and explains what a recipient is expected to do after receiving an unexpected gift from an unknown player, please point me to it or provide me with the relevant link. I genuinely want to understand what specific action was expected from me.

This is particularly important because, in my case, I simply did not have enough time to contact Support even if I had somehow suspected that something might be wrong with the gift. Very little time passed between receiving the gift and the restriction being applied to my account. At the same time, Support requests themselves take several days to process, and sometimes even longer.

This creates a rather difficult situation where a player is effectively expected to realize in advance that a gift from another person might later be associated with RMT, find the appropriate procedure, contact Support, and receive a response before the system itself takes action against the account.

But I had no way of knowing where the gift came from, and no reason to expect that accepting it would result in a negative Platinum balance and restrictions on my account.

If I understand your position correctly, this also creates a potentially serious problem: practically any player could use another account to send a random person a gift which later turns out to be connected to a suspicious transaction, and the recipient could then face consequences despite having absolutely no involvement in the original transaction.

I sincerely hope that your RMT enforcement system is not intended to work this way.

I would also like to point out my account history. During all the time I have been playing, I have had no violations of this kind. I have never sold or purchased an account, never transferred my account to another person, never sold any part of it, never participated in RMT, and never attempted to circumvent the game's rules.

For this reason, I ask that you consider not only the existence of a particular transaction in the account history, but also the actual actions of the account owner, the complete lack of intent, and the fact that there was no transaction or agreement on my side.

I would also like to address the section of the agreement you quoted in your previous response.

That section concerns transferring, selling, exchanging, or otherwise disposing of the software, the game, and related rights. However, I never sold, transferred, or exchanged my account, never sold any part of it, and never gave anyone access to my account.

Therefore, I do not understand how that particular section establishes that I violated the rules. If you believe that my actions fall under this section, please explain specifically which action on my part constitutes the violation.

I completely understand the need to protect Warframe's economy from RMT, fraud, and illegitimate transactions. I am not asking you to ignore those rules or to overlook suspicious transactions.

However, in this case, there needs to be a distinction between knowingly participating in RMT and unknowingly receiving a gift from another player.

If the particular gift was indeed connected to an illegitimate or suspicious transaction, I am willing to give up that gift and any items received through it. I am not trying to keep any benefit that may have resulted from a questionable transaction.

At the same time, I ask that I not be held responsible for another player's actions when I had no knowledge of them and took no part in them.

My account currently has a -560 Platinum balance, even though I did not make any purchase that could have resulted in this balance. I also cannot simply purchase Platinum and clear the balance through the normal payment methods, because standard payment options are currently unavailable for my region. I do not want to use third-party payment methods because I consider that potentially contrary to the rules.

I have also seen discussions regarding previous cases of mass bans and disputed automated enforcement, including waves of bans discussed by players in 2019–2020 and again in 2024. I understand that community reports about such cases do not by themselves prove that the system made a mistake in my particular case. However, this is precisely why I would appreciate an individual review of my situation rather than relying solely on an automated connection between several transactions.

If you believe that a player in my situation is required to report such a gift themselves, please explain how exactly the player is supposed to know about this obligation and at what point they are expected to act, when the official documentation does not give them a way to determine that a gift is problematic before your internal investigation identifies it.

I am not asking you to remove the RMT rules or make an exception for me. I am asking you to reconsider my specific situation and distinguish the actions of the account owner from the actions of another player.

If you still believe that I violated the rules, please identify the specific transaction or action on my account that you consider RMT participation, and explain which exact rule prohibits that action.

If the disputed gift, any items associated with it, or any Platinum whose origin is in question needs to be removed, I am willing to accept that.

However, I ask that you reconsider the negative Platinum balance and the decision regarding my account, because there was no real-money purchase, no transaction with another player, and no intentional violation of the rules on my part.

I care a lot about this account and all the progress I have accumulated over the years. I genuinely do not want to lose everything because of an action taken by another person that I was unaware of and had no control over.

I would sincerely appreciate it if you could take another careful look at my case and have it reviewed again.

Thank you for your time and for considering my appeal.
