She grew up in an intelligent family of scientists. Ichthyologist. Since childhood, she has been fascinated with everything related to the study of the sea and fish. She excelled at university. Before joining the "Sparkle" crew, she worked at a small marine life research center. She joined the team by chance, after seeing Chalk and Sprite hauling a huge fish, which Shelly had never seen before, to the local market. And she liked movies about pirates and sailors since childhood, so she wanted to feel like she was part of something like that.

A very kind and polite young lady. Loves making new acquaintances. She respects the captain (even though she finds his occasional reckless behavior strange and excessive) and likes her colleagues. Sneezes when she lies.

Besides her main job, she also enjoys collecting shells. A couple of years ago, she got a dog named Pearl, so she's also taken a bit of an interest in canine science.

Her parents don't really approve of her long-distance voyages on the high seas, but they don't interfere. They believe it's her choice and they have no right to dissuade her.
