Sailor, he's been sailing and fishing (  (both for himself and for sale) since early childhood. He discovered several small islands in his youth, which were named after him. Often risks his own health and the health of his team for the sake of a bigger catch.Ploughing on a ship "Sparkle", which he built with Sprite. The ship is named after his ex-wife.

He separated from his ex-wife, Sparkle Perch, due to her infidelity. After the divorce, she left, leaving their son to be raised by Chalk. Chalk still misses Sparkle.

He loves his son very much, but doesn't understand how to approach him - the guy is offended by Chalk for the divorce, believing that it was not his mother's fault (he still doesn't know all the details) and his dad simply chose work over family. Perch also doesn't like that his father drinks and forces him to go on long voyages with him and his crew.

Sarcastic, but not malicious. He often makes fun of the ship's junior crew members. He is not only a captain, but also a father figure to his colleagues. Takes care of them, albeit in his own way. Seems lazy, but when it comes to work, he immediately perks up. Not aggressive at all, just a kind guy.

He used to be on a team where everyone was his age. But for some reason, it broke up, and he recruited a new one, made up entirely of "youngsters." I have to teach them everything so that they don’t accidentally kill themselves during their next trip to sea. Easily adapts to new things.

All the scars were received during voyages.
